Brenda Randall on Intuition, Identity, and the Language of Style

Within the Merdulié Mother’s Day gathering—where Bvlgari heritage met a quiet language of modern elegance—stylist Brenda Randall’s presence felt aligned with the same philosophy: intention over excess, presence over performance.

A stylist and consultant to Chanel, Celine, Khaite, and Loewe, Randall approaches fashion as something instinctive rather than constructed. “Style and fashion have always been in my DNA,” she shares. Early exposure came through her mother, a seamstress in a Pasadena luxury boutique, where clothing first revealed itself as something emotional rather than purely visual.

After years outside the industry and time spent focused on family, her return to styling felt less like a shift and more like recognition. “I’ve always related to clothing emotionally, not just visually. It’s a language—how identity and ease are communicated without needing to be explained.”

Her perspective is shaped by contrast: a Cuban upbringing, life in Los Angeles, and an enduring draw toward a more restrained, French sensibility. The result is a point of view grounded in balance—expressive, but never overstated.

“I like clothing that feels effortless but considered,” she says. “My eye comes from holding all those influences together.”

Within Merdulié’s world, where styling is guided by clarity and emotional precision, her approach reflects the same ethos: trust, intuition, and an understanding of how clothing lives on the body rather than in isolation.

“The most important part of this work is relationships,” she adds. “People remember how you move through what you do.”

Some of her most meaningful moments remain behind the scenes—inside showrooms and ateliers before collections are released. “That’s where you see the intention. It changes how you understand everything.”

For those beginning their path in fashion, her perspective aligns naturally with Merdulié’s philosophy of patience and restraint.

“Stay connected to your point of view. Clarity comes when you don’t rush it.”
